The RF spectrum was where wireless communication began in 1901 with the first RF transmitter and receiver assemblies successfully built and demonstrated by Marconi.  Its applications expanded over the past century, and many are still used today.  Police and firefighter radios work in the RF spectrum, as well as broadcast AM, FM, and Television stations, Ham Radio operators, linear accelerators for particle physics, garage door openers, and communication with submerged submarines.  A large percentage of food products are also processed with RF Energy, which will be addressed further in the RF Heating discussion.  Regardless, RF systems are still an essential part of our lives in the 21st century, so if you are working on a new piece of equipment, or are having performance issues with and existing RF system, then contact SiberSci, LLC for assistance.

Our experience allows us to review both performance specifications and size constraints for the defined RF hardware, from which SiberSci, LLC can make recommendations for one or more hardware configurations to satisfy these requirements.  SiberSci, LLC can also review proprietary performance specifications, size constraints, and client proposed hardware configurations to determine if these concepts are suitable for the intended application, or determine if the design concept must be modified to satisfy the stated requirements.  Performance and physical limitations for each design concept will be documented during the review process, and modifications to the design concept will be documented to illustrate how the each design concept must be adapted to satisfy the performance requirements and size limitations.  If some portion of either the performance or size specifications are found to be physically impossible to achieve, then these problem areas will be revealed along with recommendations to circumvent these barriers to achieving the requisite performance criterion.
SiberSci, LLC is experienced using Ansys HFSS as part of the Ansys Electronics Workbench, CST Microwave Studio, Comsol, SONNET Software, and Keysight ADS and Genesys to support the Computational ElectroMagnetics (CEM) aspects of these programs.  Clients can specify use of one or more of these CEM tools for their project as long as the client provides a valid license for using the code, or pays for contract access to the code of choice.  If the client is unable to select the appropriate CEM code for their project, then SiberSci, LLC is prepared to assist each client with selecting the appropriate CEM code(s) to ensure the success of their project.
It is important for each client to realize that the accuracy of CEM simulations are dependent upon the frequency and temperature dependent material properties (thermal conductivity, complex permittivity, relative permittivity, loss tangent, electrical conductivity, density, specific heat,…) of the metals and dielectrics used for fabricating their circuits, so these material properties must be measured so they can be included in the CEM simulations.  Laboratory and contract resources are available to determine these material properties, which are essential for providing accurate CEM simulations of circuits and systems.  SiberSci, LLC can provide each client with the capability to only use valid material properties for their CEM simulations.
